Living at Perdido Place
Perdido Place is a gated, low-density tower on the east end of Orange Beach, set on more than 200 feet of private, uncrowded beach. Completed around 2000–2001, it holds just 44 residences, four to a floor.
The building is non-rental: owners use their homes themselves, with no short-term vacation renters. That makes it one of the quietest Gulf-front addresses in Orange Beach and a natural fit for second homes and full-time residents.
The three-bedroom homes run about 2,000 to 2,400 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling Gulf views and automatic storm shutters. Owners share a beachfront pool with restrooms, a fitness center, a sauna, a library, a gazebo and grilling area, and covered multi-level parking.
Between the Flora-Bama and Perdido Pass
Perdido Place sits just west of the Florida line, so the Flora-Bama, open since 1964 and home of the Interstate Mullet Toss, is minutes away. About 2 miles to the west, Perdido Pass connects Perdido Bay and Old River to the Gulf, with the restaurants, shopping and entertainment of central Orange Beach beyond the bridge.
