Living at Phoenix IX
Phoenix IX sits on the Gulf at the east end of Orange Beach, about 10 miles east of Highway 59 and a short walk from the Flora-Bama. Completed in 2007, the tower holds 104 residences with views of the Gulf to the south and Old River to the north.
One-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans run roughly 1,300 to 2,500 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. The standout amenity is a climate-controlled indoor tennis court on the 12th floor, alongside a pickleball court. Residents also share a Gulf-front pool and kiddie pool, an indoor pool with bay views, a hot tub, a sauna, a fitness center and covered parking. Vacation rentals are allowed, and on-site staff look after the property.
East Orange Beach
The Flora-Bama, the beach bar and music venue on the state line since 1964, is within walking distance. Perdido Pass, about 2 miles west of the state line, is the gateway from Perdido Bay and Old River to the Gulf. Perdido Key's restaurants and protected beaches are just across the Florida line.
